Production houses right now are in need of trained and talented artists, while at the same time skilled actors are in search of a good platform to establish themselves. To bridge this gap, Chennai Theatre Academy has come up with Cast-O-Base (A Casting Agency), which collects the database of all the skilled actors across South India thereby helping the actors as well as the production houses to identify actors and also train the selected actors for their part in movies, plays, short films, serials and web-series. Through Cast-O-Base we provide our students and all skilled actors who register with our agency, an opportunity to work with various production houses.
Functioning
Open auditions are done in our institute for interested actors who register with our agency. The actors’ profile and portfolio shoot is done and they are also given guidance during their auditions. All these data are perfectly maintained so as to make the production houses identify them.
Resources
We have data of all our students who take up a course with our institute and also of other skilled actors across South India which are got through open auditions. We do have contacts with actors and with all experienced trainers and acting schools.
