WELCOME TO CHENNAI THEATRE ACADEMY
Chennai Theatre Academy is ready to teach new actors about the intricacies of acting, develop their skills and allow experienced actors to work in theatre productions and improve their acting skills and establish themselves in cinema through continuous practice and provide an innovative experience.
“Acting is a Technical Art form”. We wish to create actors with creative imagination, who understand themselves and get a clear vision about their mind, body, and voice and help the aspiring actors/ artists to explore the arts and provide them with inspiring educational experience. We also intend to dismiss the idea that theatre acting and cinema acting are different and help the learners understand the different forms of acting, create a deep insight about acting and participate in a meaningful discussion about acting.
THE FOUNDER
REGIN ROSE, Founder - Managing Director
Regin Rose, Founder Director & Chief Trainer of Chennai Theatre Academy is an acclaimed and a professional Theatre Director, actor, and an acting trainer. He is a native of Vaniyakudi, a coastal village in Kanyakumari District. From his school days, he is trained and experienced in theatre, folk dance, singing, poetry, elocution and sports. He is also trained in Tamil Folk arts like Paraiyattam, Oyilattam, Kummi, Karakattam, Kolaattam, Kaliyattam, Sattai Kuchchi, Lesim, Silambattam and Devarattam and also in Martial art forms like Kalari, Tai-chi and Karate. He has been playing Cricket, Volleyball and Football since his childhood and has been a part of many street plays and stage plays right from his school days.

Chennai Theatre Academy stands out for its commitment to excellence in arts education. Chennai theatre Academy is run by professionally trained trainers who have been formally trained in National School of Drama, Koothu-p-pattari (Chennai), and Pondicherry Central University – Performing Arts Department. Our training fraternities have immense experience and deep understanding about acting and its techniques. Our holistic approach ensures that students not only learn but thrive in a supportive environment.
OUR COURSES
Regular Course
This course is designed to cover in detail on the realistic theories and acting methods and focuses on acting in front of the camera. This course gives a detailed work on the Navarasa and the other techniques. It also helps to understand, learn and finely practice on speech to avoid any stereotyped work on individual capacity.
